Summer Volunteer Update:

We’re so grateful for everyone who wants to pitch in and support the farmers market community! Volunteers help make the market possible, and we’re always thankful for neighbors willing to lend a hand.

Right now, we’re especially looking for early birds who can volunteer on Saturday mornings between 6:30 and 7:45 a.m. to help sort and pack seasonal fruit before the market opens. It’s a great way to support local food access, meet wonderful people, and be part of the market behind the scenes.

MCFM wouldn't be what it is today without the help of our wonderful volunteers! 

We are open Saturday's - year round - rain or shine.

Volunteer hours range from 6:30am-12:30pm on Saturdays at the market.

There are also volunteer-from-home opportunities depending upon your skill set and interests. 

Do you need community service hours for school or work? We'd love to help you reach your goal!

Volunteering at MCFM is a great way to become involved in the community, make friends and complete service hours. Plus, there are some great perks like early access to the market, free fruit from the market fruit fundraiser (local peaches and apples!), a sweet volunteer t-shirt, luncheons catered by the best chefs in Matthews and Charlotte, and so much more! 

The busier the market becomes, the more volunteers we need to provide a great experience for our community. All you need to volunteer is a love for all things local, a little time in your schedule and a willingness to help. Please complete the Volunteer Interest Form below and we'll be in touch.
